Shoe lovers, you may want to sit down for this. Beloved designer Jimmy Choo has joined the bandwagon of high-end fashion designers creating affordable items for the everyday fashionista. Jimmy Choo will partner up with clothing store H&M and launch a line of accessories, shoes and clothing in the stores in November.
H&M is a company out of Sweden with stores across the world, however it appears Australia will miss out on this historic event in fashion history. Affordable Jimmy Choo-imagine wearing a pair of shoes without skipping meals-will hit the shelves in America, Canada, Europe and Asia.
What about Oz? I’m not sure if they will be addressing the issue of leaving out a fashion forerunner, even if we’re in the southern hemisphere. It’s an exciting time in the fashion world, to finally see designers concerned about the style of the working class and realising one doesn’t need to break the bank to look good. Other designers had already jumped at the chance to create affordable fashions: Sarah Jessica Parker designed affordable line Bitten for the US discount store Steve & Barry’s (which will hopefully find another, perhaps international, home since the store’s bankruptcy); Target currently has enlisted the Veronicas for a new style range and will be looking to fill the shoes of Isaac Mizrahi as he leaves to revamp the Liz Claiborne label, and hopefully the trend continues with more designers jumping to create more affordable clothing for consumers and fans.
Hopefully H&M will realise the error in judgment of not having a store in the budding fashion capitals of Australia. It’s not fair the rest of the world gets to experience affordable Jimmy Choo and we sit lustful at the designer label, imagining our feet in a pair of foot heaven.
Wouldn’t you love a pair? Or even, at this price, a couple?
Nice post!
Now a days lot of designs have arrived in to men & womens fashion style. But one of the key items every men & woman should have is a pair of jeans that flatters your figure and can be dressed up or down.
