The Rocks Aroma Festival

The Rocks Aroma Festival

Wake up this 19th July and smell the sweet aroma in one of Sydney’s most historic suburbs- the Rocks. The Rocks Aroma festival is coming once again to bring the best coffee, tea, sweets, and spices to Sydney.

This yearly outdoor festival offers aromas and treats to warm you on a chilly winter’s day. As you tour the festival you will be able to enter a different part of the world around every corner. The festival is centred around the continents of Europe, Asia, and South America.  You will also visit the Middle East, all without leaving Australia.

When you visit the festival, some things to expect are of course being able to sample some exotic teas and coffee drinks from all over the world. There is also live entertainment in each of the four sections: The Oasis, The Orient, South American Latin Quarter, and The Continent (Europe). Each area promises something unique like belly dancing or accordion playing, a definite cultural experience for the attendants.  This year’s new treat will be camel rides from the Oasis to the Orient.

For anyone unfamiliar with this area, The Rocks is where the first  British fleet stepped ashore on 26 Jan and settled the great continent of Australia. The Rocks is a short walk from the Circular Quay train station, and ferry hub, which is right next to the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

If you are a coffee lover or a tea lover, this is the place for you to be!  After all, where else can you visit multiple continents and experience all of their cultures in just one day?
